Elissa Pollak, DVM
Owner & Veterinarian
Dr. Elissa Pollak became the owner of Norwich Veterinary Hospital in August 2026, continuing her commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to pets and their families throughout the community.
Dr. Pollak earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Prior to joining Norwich Veterinary Hospital, she worked as an Associate Veterinarian at Claremont Veterinary Hospital in New Hampshire for 10 years before relocating to Connecticut.
Dr. Pollak has professional interests in surgery, wellness care, canine reproduction, and equine medicine. She enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and providing personalized care to support the health and well-being of their animals.
As the new owner of Norwich Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Pollak looks forward to continuing the hospital’s tradition of caring for pets while bringing new ideas, services, and opportunities to the practice and the community.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Pollak enjoys spending time with her husband, Sean, and their lively household of five cats, three large dogs, and four horses.
A Message from Dr. Jamal Baig
After many rewarding years in veterinary medicine, I am officially retiring from Norwich Veterinary Hospital.
Since acquiring the hospital in 2016, I have had the privilege of caring for countless pets and working with so many wonderful families, colleagues, and community partners. It has been an honor to be trusted with the health and well-being of your beloved companions.
I am truly grateful to every client who placed their trust in me and allowed me to be a part of their pets’ lives. The relationships built over the years, and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of animals, have made my career deeply meaningful.
I would also like to thank the dedicated staff members who have worked alongside me throughout the years. Their care and commitment to our patients and clients have been an important part of Norwich Veterinary Hospital’s history.
As I begin this next chapter, I am pleased to see Norwich Veterinary Hospital continue under new ownership with Dr. Elissa Pollak. I wish the hospital, its staff, and all of the families we serve continued success in the years ahead.
